One notable project involved a substantial marine brake band measuring 5 meters in length and 10 inches in width, which we successfully completed within a few days. In addition to reconditioning marine brake bands, Jim Jack Services Ltd offers a selection of woven asbestos-free brake lining materials suitable for demanding offshore applications. Our inventory includes brass slotted countersunk screws, nuts, and copper rivets for securely attaching the brake lining material to the brake band.

Should the need arise, we are fully equipped to fabricate custom brake bands based on either a provided sample or engineering drawings. Marine winch applications often require diverse types of brakes, such as:

Caliper brakes – We excel in refurbishing brake calipers, conducting pressure tests, and supplying essential components like brake pads, caliper seal kits, pistons, and pin kits.

Multi-disc brakes – Our inventory includes sintered or paper friction discs and steel plates tailored to a wide range of applications. We proudly offer a selection of renowned brands such as Wichita, Twin Disc, Airflex, and BF Goodrich brake parts. Moreover, we specialize in assembling marine transmission parts for Caterpillar, Twin Disc, and ZF.

Additionally, we regularly undertake the relining of Hagglunds brake bands for the offshore industry. A significant portion of this work involves utilizing our advanced thermal bonding system for optimal results.
